Read's Uniforms is an Asheville, NC based retailer providing uniforms, shoes, and accessories to the medical, public safety, education, hospitality, and industrial communities across 8 states in the Eastern US. We are currently searching for a Store Manager in Wilmington, NC
Our retail stores are unlike mall or "mainstream retail." Our staff supports many contract and business to business relationships in addition to our cash and carry customers. We are an "operational retail" company, offering several different types of customization (alterations/embroidery/heat press) in house at our operations centers in Asheville, Charlotte, and Goldsboro. The perfect candidate will not only enjoy process, but customer service and growing the store. As a Store Partner you will earn a percentage of the Gross Profit Increase year over year in addition to base salary.
Our Wilmington location primarily serves medical customers with a small amount of public safety traffic. In addition to joining the small but tenured Wilmington team, you will have a dedicated outside sales representative in the Wilmington area to partner with in support of accounts that utilize the store.
Our retail hours are 9:00am to 5:00pm Monday through Friday. No late nights & weekends off!
The Store Manager is responsible for maintaining and improving all aspects of the retail store. Some specific functions of this role are:
- Driving retail sales & promoting a positive customer experience in store
- Seeking out new customers/accounts
- Manage email communication to and from sales reps, operations staff, owners/management, and customers
- Plan, assign and execute visual merchandising changes on the retail sales floor
- Assess inventory selection/levels and provide feedback to the purchasing department based on the store's needs
- Maintain relationships with community college groups, private schools, and medical group customers & keep account information current.
