Maintenance Day Porter

Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Maintenance Day Porter to help maintain the cleanliness, appearance, and basic upkeep of our properties. This is a hands-on position involving visiting various properties, routine maintenance, light repairs, litter removal, and general property care.

The ideal candidate is reliable, takes pride in their work, can work independently, and is comfortable handling basic maintenance and cleaning tasks. Retired individual with good work ethic is desired. This individual needs to have his/her own truck and hand tools.

This is a part-time independent contractor position. Schedule is 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Monday through Friday with occasional additional hours.

Primary Responsibilities

• Replace light bulbs and perform other minor maintenance tasks.
• Pick up litter and keep common areas clean and presentable.
• Perform basic repairs and general property upkeep when needed.
• Inspect the property for minor maintenance or cleanliness issues and address them when possible.
• Assist with larger cleaning, maintenance, or improvement projects as needed.
• Report larger maintenance issues or repairs that require professional assistance.
• Perform other reasonable duties related to property upkeep as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous maintenance, janitorial, landscaping, or property-care experience is a plus, but not required.
• Reliable transportation (preferred truck or SUV) with the ability to remove debris.
• Basic knowledge of common maintenance tasks and hand tools.
• Must be able to understand the importance of accounting for hours expected at each of the properties.
• Able to perform light physical work, including walking, bending, lifting, and carrying.

Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 17.5 – 20.0 per week
