Read Better Be Better is an education nonprofit organization focused on solving Arizona's literacy crisis. We work with partnering schools throughout the state to connect young readers and youth leaders to inspire a love of literacy and learning. Since 2014, we have served thousands of Arizona students through our reading programs in over 60 schools across Maricopa County and multiple community-based organizations across throughout Arizona. Each school semester, we have expanded to serve even more kids, schools, and families. We are a mission-driven, collaborative community, and we welcome and are grateful to those seeking an opportunity to get involved.

We’re gearing up for our fall after-school program and need all hands on deck! Join us as we kick off the new academic year and help students build the reading skills that shape their future.
Older youth leaders work one-on-one with younger readers, and you’ll help make it all possible-assisting at program sites, helping with setup, and stepping in where needed so every child gets the support they deserve.

Training and ongoing staff support provided-you won’t be on your own.
Details
Locations vary Schools across the greater Phoenix area.
Commitment Minimum ~3 months (Sept-Dec) a program runs 2 afternoons a week (Mon-Thurs), 2 hours each day after school. Your schedule is flexible within that timeframe!
