Duties
- Assist with tree removal, pruning, and trimming using appropriate tools such as chainsaws and hand tools
- Support arborists with rigging and climbing techniques to safely access trees for maintenance or removal
- Operate bucket trucks and other equipment safely under supervision to reach elevated areas
- Help with landscape maintenance tasks including lawn care, planting, and general site cleanup
- Follow safety protocols diligently during all outdoor activities to ensure a secure work environment
- Support the setup and takedown of rigging gear for complex tree care operations
- Maintain equipment and tools in good condition, ensuring readiness for daily tasks
Skills
- Experience working outdoors in landscaping or horticulture environments
- Knowledge of tree care practices such as pruning, trimming, and plant health assessment
- Familiarity with arborist rigging techniques and bucket truck operation
- Ability to handle chainsaws and other power tools safely and effectively
- Understanding of safety procedures related to climbing, rigging, and equipment use
- Basic knowledge of GIS (Geographic Information Systems) is a plus for site mapping tasks
