We are seeking a highly organized Administrative Assistant who enjoys supporting educators, students, and families while helping ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of our school.
Position Summary
The Administrative Assistant provides essential administrative and operational support to school leadership, teachers, and families. This role helps manage communication, scheduling, records, and office operations so staff can focus on teaching and supporting student success.
Key Responsibilities
Administrative & Office Support
- Manage calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate appointments
- Maintain organized files, records, and databases
- Prepare reports, documents, and correspondence
- Order and manage office supplies and equipment
Communication & Customer Service
- Answer phone calls and respond to emails and inquiries
- Provide assistance to parents, students, and community members
- Support school communications and general correspondence
Records & Data Management
- Maintain student records and administrative documentation
- Enter and update data in school systems
- Generate reports and support record-keeping requirements
Financial & Staff Support
- Assist with invoicing, accounts payable, and expense tracking
- Support staff onboarding paperwork and personnel files
- Help teachers with supply orders and meeting coordination
Event & Community Support
- Assist with planning school events, meetings, and conferences
- Support community engagement and volunteer coordination
Qualifications
Required
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Proficiency with Google Workspace or Microsoft Office
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail
Preferred
- Administrative experience in a school or nonprofit setting
- Experience with databases or student information system
Compensation & Benefits
Salary: $18 – $24 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
