BASIC POSITION FUNCTION
Working closely with both the Health Workforce Outcomes (HWO) Director, and under the supervision of the HWO Manager, the Program Coordinator is responsible for supporting the overall achievement of key outcomes and the shared overall success of the HWO department. Reach Out is seeking an organized, relationship-driven Program Coordinator with experience in healthcare to drive results in building the health workforce in the Inland Empire.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

Be an advocate and champion for health workforce initiatives in the Inland Empire
- Recruit and secure employer engagement in IE health workforce initiatives.
- Interface, and be a primary point of contact, with IHPC Advisory Council and Health Sector members for health workforce initiatives
- Co-develop and implement a communications plan for Advisory Council and Health Sector teams to ensure engagement, receive input and recommendations and answer questions.
- Prepare slide presentations for Advisory Council, All Members and Health Sector meetings using PowerPoint and Canva.
- Lead or co-lead quarterly Advisory Council and monthly Healthcare sector meetings.
- Ensure regular attendance at all IHPC meetings to meet member participation standards.
- Promptly inform senior management of important issues or opportunities to be addressed related to the achievement of IHPC goals.
- Provide ongoing follow-up and problem-solving support to participants and employers, ensuring performance meets program, employer, and participant expectations.
- Collaborate with leadership and project teams to fulfill program deliverables.
- Work collaboratively with the entire HWO team on a variety of projects and events as needs arise.
- Coordinate with Learning & Evaluation staff to collect, track, and enter outreach and outcome data.
- Interact regularly with Health Career Connection counterparts and attend three two-day meetings per year at selected sites in California.
- Maintain program timelines, calendars, and documentation to meet grant and project requirements.
- Prepare progress updates, outcome summaries, and required grant reports in consultation with supervisor.
- Work collaboratively across departments to provide training and support to partners and employers.
- Foster a creative, positive, and supportive work environment, both internally and for partners.
- Demonstrate cultural sensitivity and awareness of the socioeconomic and demographic characteristics of the residents of the Inland Empire.
- Adhere to organizational safety practices and perform duties in a safe manner at all times.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- Willingness to sign a Training Agreement, if required, for participation in mandatory trainings related to program compliance and government funding requirements.
- Ability to work flexible schedule including nights and weekends.
- Provide translation support for documents and verbal communications if fluent in Spanish.
- Ability to drive throughout the Inland Empire for meetings and program coordination on a regular basis.
- Assist with and provide support for Reach Out events as needed.

Qualifications:Required Education & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in science or medical-related topics, such as, Behavioral Health, Health Education, Public Health, or a related field and at least two (2) years of directly related experience; OR
- In lieu of a bachelor’s degree, a minimum of five (5) years of related professional experience.
- At least two (2) years of experience working independently to engage high-level stakeholders, including academic and industry partners, and translating their needs into actionable program strategies.
Preferred: Fluent Bilingual Spanish/English
Knowledge of:
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel.
