Reach Out Lodi is seeking an Assistant to the Managing Director in Lodi, WI. This individual will work with the Managing Director and be responsible for assisting with planning, developing, organizing, and administering all components of the services provided by ROL.

Responsibilities:

A. Assist with coordinating and administering ROL programs and services.
1. Assist in recruiting service volunteers to conduct the activities required in the Community Center.
2. Along with the lead volunteers, assist in development of an orientation training program for volunteers that specifies responsibilities, safety protocols, duties, and procedures of ROL.
3. Assist in assessing the skills, aptitudes, interests and needs of the volunteers to help determine their assignments.
4. Assist in training volunteers with the ROL mission and policies, and the specific procedures for their assigned duties.
5. Assist with overseeing the daily activities of volunteers and assign additional duties based upon the needs of the specific day.
6. Address questions of the lead volunteers and volunteers.
7. Provide feedback to the Managing Director about the performance of the volunteers.
8. Assist in with recognition events for volunteers to show appreciation of their contributions.
9. Assist in communicating with individual volunteers and volunteer groups to meet their needs and concerns, and following up on requests.
10. Act as liaison between the volunteers and other staff/volunteers.
11. Assist in the identification and implementation of quality improvements to the functions of the Community Center.
12. Event planning

B. Assist with ROL administration
1. Assist in ensuring volunteer compliance with ROL policies and procedures.
2. Assist in ensuring ROL activities are carried out prudently within budget.
3. Assist with preparing and submitting reports as required.
4. Assist with maintaining accurate records including volunteer timekeeping sheets.
5. Assist in ordering goods and supplies.
6. Assist with maintaining corporate financial records and supporting documentation.
7. Assist with participating in fundraising activities as an active staff member.
8. Assist with room set-up and general housekeeping.

C. Assist with organizing and implementing structured activities to promote public awareness of ROL
1. Assist with establishing and maintaining working relationships with service clubs, schools, churches, businesses and interested citizens to promote supporting and volunteering at ROL.
2. Assist with coordinating and conducting tours of the Community Center and Store.

D. Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge and Skills Required

1. Strong organization, problem-solving and prioritization skills.
2. Demonstrated success working in a team environment while meeting high standards of confidentiality, integrity, and professionalism.
3. Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, organize multiple priorities and handle stressful situations with grace and professionalism.
4. Ability to work independently and cooperatively as part of a team.
5. Solid verbal and written communication skills, including public speaking.
6. Understanding of accounting practices.
7. Proficient in Microsoft Office 365, and Social Media technologies.
8. Ability to perform tasks requiring lifting up to 40 pounds, bending, kneeling and twisting.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 per hour

Benefits:

  • Paid time off

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekends as needed

Job-related location requirement:

  • Candidates must be within a 25-mile radius.
