What are the responsibilities and job description for the Speech & Language - SLP Supervisor in school setting position at REACH FOR THE STARS LEARNING CENTER?
Reach for the Stars Learning Center, a private school, servicing children with autism, is looking for an experienced SLP supervisor to join our program.
Reach for the Stars was founded with the belief that children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorders can live full and productive lives as integrated members of the community. Recognizing that each child presents his/her own unique strengths and challenges, Reach for the Stars champions a multi-disciplinary approach rather than relying on one strict modality. This integrated model begins with a strong foundation in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), and the teaching philosophy integrates speech and language therapy, occupational therapy, music therapy, behavioral skills and social skills training under the umbrella of ABA. The utilization of this collaborative model facilitates the educational practices and behavioral treatments that have proven effective in educating students with disabilities. The primary goal of RFTS is to help each student progress to the point at which they can thrive in less restrictive educational and community settings.

Responsibilities Include
- Curriculum planning and implementation as SLP
- Supervision of Therapists
- Provide services to students
- Knowledge of all students
- Work collaboratively with all disciplines
- Provide augmentative and alternative assessments for students
- Supervise therapy of students on AAC devices
- Write and edit evaluations, progress reports and IEP’s
- Experience with AAC, PECS, LAMP, Oral Sensory-Motor, and/or feeding is a preferred.
- BCBA /LBA preferred
- Knowledge and experience with ABA, behavioral strategies, play therapy and the treatment of children with autism, specifically, is a plus.

Salary : $110,000 - $140,000
