Job Title: Fifth Grade Teacher (Grade 5 - ELA Departmentalized)

If uncertified salary starts at $40,000.

- Perform other duties as assigned by the Head of School.
Qualifications/Education and/or Experience
Teachers must hold a NYS professional teaching certificate in their subject area or be eligible for reciprocity to include (1) Minimum Bachelor's degree in subject area to be taught, Master's Degree preferred; (2) Proven track-record of high achievement in the classroom and commitment to accountability preferred ; (3) Belief in and alignment with REACH Academy Charter School core beliefs and educational philosophy; (4) Valid New York State Certification, except in cases where the Head of School shall make an exception under the terms of this Policy, in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
Salary - REACH Academy Charter School has a salary scale in place. Your salary step will depend on your prior years of experience and certification. A first-year teacher with no experience but has their certification will start at $45,000. A teacher on step 10 which is the most prior credit we can give is $65,830. First 40 days will be at the substitute rate of $160.00/per day. Then the positon will become step and beneifts will be offered.
