Position Summary:
The Staff Accountant supports the firm’s tax, accounting, and assurance engagements by performing high-quality work under the supervision of senior staff, managers, and partners. This role is ideal for individuals who are detail-oriented, eager to learn, and committed to delivering excellent client service in a fast-paced public accounting environment.
- Prepare individual, partnership, corporate, trust, and nonprofit income tax returns.
- Assist with quarterly/annual tax projections and estimated tax payments.
- Perform basic tax research using internal tools and authoritative sources.
- Maintain organized workpapers that clearly support tax return positions.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, loan balances, and general ledger accounts.
- Assist with year-end closing and adjusting journal entries.
- Support bookkeeping, payroll, and sales tax filings as assigned.
- Communicate professionally with clients to request missing information or clarify transactions.
- Maintain confidentiality of client information and adhere to professional standards.
- Complete assignments on schedule and communicate any delays.
- Participate in professional development, training, and continuing education.
- Support seniors and managers with special projects as needed.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $35,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
