This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for DHA for Certain DoD Personnel to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
About the Position: Serves as an Electronics Technician specializing in electronic and electrical systems and components at a large area office with support also provided to other field sites throughout the Detroit District.
In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-06 level which includes utilizing electronic theories and the ability to apply the theories with guidance from higher graded technicians and or supervisors, skills of creating and modifying control system code, operating, troubleshooting, repairing electronic systems and components, and electronic security systems. Assisting in determining methods and techniques required to accomplish tasks and solving complex electronic issues.
