RE/MAX Frontier is a locally owned real estate brokerage and property management company based in Midlothian, TX. We support 36 agents on the brokerage side and manage roughly 200 residential and commercial units across several related entities. We operate in a collaborative, fast-paced small-business environment and value professionalism, reliability, and integrity.
The Role
This is a full-time, on-site bookkeeping position in Midlothian, TX, supporting both our real estate brokerage and our property management operation. You’ll own the day-to-day books in QuickBooks — recording transactions, making deposits, paying bills, writing checks, and keeping every account categorized and reconciled.
You’ll work alongside our outside CPA, who handles financial statements, tax filings, and higher-level review. Your job is to keep the daily financial activity accurate, timely, and clean so ownership and the CPA always have reliable numbers to work from.
What You’ll Do
• Record and categorize daily transactions in QuickBooks across multiple entities
• Make bank deposits and record incoming funds (commissions, rents, owner contributions)
• Process and pay vendor bills (accounts payable); prepare and write checks
• Reconcile bank and credit card accounts monthly
• Track accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding balances
• Property management bookkeeping: post tenant payments, prepare owner statements and draws, handle vendor invoices, and properly track tenant security deposits
• Keep organized, audit-ready records and supporting documentation
• Support the CPA at month-end and year-end and answer day-to-day finance questions from ownership and staff
What We’re Looking For
• Solid bookkeeping experience: accounts payable/receivable, deposits, and bank/credit card reconciliations
• Proficiency in QuickBooks (Online or Desktop)
• High attention to detail and absolute integrity handling cash, checks, and confidential financial information
• Strong organization and time management; comfortable juggling multiple entities and deadlines
• Clear communication and the ability to work with non-finance team members
• Real estate, property management, or small-business bookkeeping experience is a strong plus
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is welcome but not required — equivalent hands-on experience counts
