Campaign Coordinator/Deputy Campaign Manager
Opportunity to serve as a leadership team member on campaign for state legislature in New York located in Lower Westchester County. You will report directly to Campaign Manager and will be responsible for overseeing many day to day campaign operations, including field program, candidate staffing, social media support and other tasks as necessary. We are seeking a passionate and driven Democratic operative who is a priority driven multitasker that performs well under pressure and can effectively time manage. Depending on experience this position is for either a Deputy Campaign Manager or Campaign Coordinator.
Responsibilities include:
- Create and manage field/voter contact strategy, including but not limited to:
- Recruit, train and manage volunteers engaging in voter outreach efforts, including in-person canvassing and phone banking
- Launch door to door canvasses across the district;
- Work with Campaign Manager to track canvassing results on van and Excel
- Assist with the planning and execution of campaign events;
- Work with Campaign Manager on communications strategy, draft and release content
- Serve as the face of the campaign to volunteers and outside groups
- Other duties as assigned.
An ideal candidate would possess:
- 1-2 years previous campaign cycles of experience, including as a volunteer or intern, including experience with direct voter contact/field
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time management
- Proven volunteer and staff management abilities
- Ability to work and adapt to fast-paced campaign environment
- Knowledge of NGP and VAN
- Experience using Canva or other graphic design software
