What you'll drive from concept to production
- Engage directly with customers to capture requirements and develop accurate estimates
- Co-develop designs with customers and our in-house manufacturing experts
- Lead cross-functional planning and design reviews to align scope, risks, and deliverables
- Create CAD models and drawings for parts and tooling
- Author production documentation, including ply kits and detailed lamination instructions
- Define materials and generate complete BOMs
- Establish, track, and update detailed project timelines
- Monitor spend and margins to keep projects on budget
- Support manufacturing through build, proving, and release
- BS or MS in Engineering (Mechanical, Aerospace, Aeronautical, or similar)
- 6 years in composite part design and manufacturing; aerospace exposure preferred
- Proven project management capability: scoping, scheduling, communication
- Relationship builder with customers and internal leaders
- Self-directed with excellent personal workload management
- History of steering multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience in mold design, DFM, fixturing, and creating clear work instructions
- Sharp analytical/problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Organized and effective in fast-paced environments
- Advanced SolidWorks (or equivalent solid/surface modeling)
- Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Familiar with ERP workflows and ISO/AS quality environments
