What are the responsibilities and job description for the 5-Axis CNC Milling Specialist position at Re:Build Manufacturing?
Step onto Second Shift and Shape Aerospace Components
At Cutting Dynamics, LLC in Avon, Ohio—part of the Re:Build Manufacturing family—you’ll put precision into flight-critical parts for aerospace and other advanced industries. For more than three decades, Cutting Dynamics has delivered high-value components, assemblies, and kitting through measurable objectives, industry-leading technology, and a relentless drive to improve.
Re:Build Manufacturing brings together enabling technologies, operational excellence, and strategic acquisitions to build the next generation of American industrial companies. We channel deep operational and technology expertise across our businesses to elevate performance in growing markets—and we’re committed to revitalizing U.S. manufacturing while creating meaningful opportunities for our teams and communities.
A day in your life on our 2nd shift
When your shift starts, you’ll review the Process Routing Document (PRD), load a 3-, 4-, or 5-axis vertical or horizontal machining center, and get to work producing parts that meet exacting aerospace standards. Throughout the night you’ll keep machines running, check features with micrometers, calipers, and height gauges, and document inspection results clearly. You’ll communicate closely with your supervisor, operators, quality, and other shop teammates to troubleshoot, keep work flowing, and ensure every job follows our Quality Management System (QMS). As your shift winds down, you’ll complete paperwork, perform daily maintenance, deburr as needed, clean your area, and secure company, customer, and supplier property—electronic, intellectual, and physical.
