- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree in Special Education or related field preferred
- Current Colorado Department of Education Special Education License
- Minimum of three years successful experience as a special education teacher preferred

- Strong collaboration, coaching, and communication skills
- CPI or crisis prevention training required
- Bilingual skills preferred

RE-1 Valley School District is seeking a highly collaborative and experienced Special Education Mentor to support special education teachers and programs at the elementary and high school levels. This position focuses on mentoring staff, supporting instructional practices, ensuring compliance with special education regulations, and strengthening services for students with disabilities.
The Special Education Mentor works closely with teachers, administrators, and the Special Services department to build capacity, provide coaching, and ensure high-quality special education programming across the district.

SALARY RANGE & CATEGORY: $44,000 - $65,853 on Teacher Salary Schedule
FLSA STATUS: Exempt
WORK CALENDAR: 167 days
