MATERIAL HANDLER (Warehouse, Receiving & Inventory Control)

Job Brief

At Boyds Hardwood Gunstocks, every great product starts with accuracy, organization, and quality materials. We’re looking for a dependable, detail-driven Material Handler to support our warehouse, receiving, and inventory operations while ensuring materials are verified, organized, and production-ready.

This role is hands-on and fast-moving, combining receiving, inspection, storage, and inventory control. If you’re highly organized, comfortable working in a structured process environment, and take pride in keeping operations running smoothly, this is a key position in our manufacturing team.

What You’ll Do:

• Receive incoming wood, components, and supplies from truck shipments (Walnut, laminate, LTL, and small parcel deliveries)
• Verify quantities against packing lists and perform incoming quality inspections
• Organize and place materials into designated warehouse locations following Kanban and inventory systems
• Process and verify small package deliveries (UPS, FedEx, USPS) including repackaging when needed to match standards
• Support shipping and production by restocking materials and maintaining supply availability
• Handle RMA returns and ensures proper documentation and storage
• Maintain clean, organized warehouse and disposal areas, including dumpster and recycling zones
• Perform routine cycle counts on wood, components, boxes, and chemicals

What We’re Looking For:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Ability to follow structured processes and multi-step instructions
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on warehouse environment with shifting priorities
• Dependable, organized, and able to manage physical work throughout the day
• Forklift or warehouse experience is a plus, but not required

Bonus Points For:

• Previous warehouse, receiving, logistics, or manufacturing experience.
• Kanban or inventory system experience.
• A "safety-first" attitude and the ability to recognize equipment wear or hazards before they become issues.
