Job Summary:
RDR is seeking a Water Transfer Construction Superintendent to round out the Utility Line Repair and Maintenance Division. Superintendent will report to the division manager.
Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the project oversight and scheduling as well as resource and material coordination.
- Manage and push production across multiple crews.
- Supervise and direct daily duties for foreman and leads.
- Assign daily tasks and coach and discipline crew members as necessary.
- Coordinate activities across multiple crews and adjust timelines for delays or change orders.
- Monitor project expenditures to stay within the established construction budget.
- Complete and submit work orders for invoicing.
- Advertise and sell work to potential customers.
- Build and maintain relationships with vendors.
- Attend bid meetings.
- Assist with interviews and mentor new crew members including laborers and specialized subcontractors to ensure adherence to processes and policies.
- Schedule equipment services and maintenance.
- Order and track material and equipment inventory to prevent workflow interruptions.
- Ensure safety and compliance by enforcing OSHA standards and other local health and safety regulations at all times.
- Conduct regular site inspections and safety observations to prevent injuries and maintain a secure environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualification:
- 2-5 years of foreman or managing experience
- Experience fusing HDPE and installation of environmental controls
- Strong background in water transfer construction
