Responsibilities
- Separate electronic items and sort components (like metal and plastics) for proper recycling or disposal.
- Use wire cutters to cut cables from items.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize warehouse operations and improve overall efficiency in sorting.
- Follow all safety guidelines related to OSHA regulations and proper use of mechanical tools to prevent accidents or injuries
Requirements
- Proven experience working in a warehouse environment for at least 6 months.
- Physical ability to stand for long hours on your feet, lifting, bending, and pushing or pulling up to 30lbs.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment that may involve exposure to noise and dust.
- Ability to accurately identify different types of material and maintain record.
- Excellent organizational skills for accurate sorting of material.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining safety standards at all times.
- Strong understanding of OSHA safety standards related to warehouse operations and heavy equipment use.
- English speaking- understanding spanish is a plus.
Pay: $16.60 - $17.00 per hour
