About the Role:
We are seeking a Construction Loan Closer and Draw Specialist to join the Team. This role supports the daily operations and servicing of commercial loans, including loan closings, construction draws, client servicing, and cross‑team collaboration. The position provides critical support to ensure compliance, accuracy, and efficiency in construction loan management.
In this role, you will:
Manage and execute loan closings with a focus on construction loans and draw processes, including diligence gathering and budget monitoring.
Review and manage a variety of draws, including real estate construction projects, budgets, site inspection ordering, title date-downs, lien waiver monitoring and disbursement requests.
Coordinate with borrowers, builders, inspectors, and title companies to ensure timely and compliant funding.
Monitor project milestones and verify that draw requests remain consistent with approved budgets and established timelines.
Collaborate with Investment Professionals, Chief Credit Officer, Director of Loan Operations, and Servicing teams to address issues and enhance efficiency in draw processes.
Assist with loan servicing requests, including modifications and loan bookings, in compliance with approvals.
Review and maintain detailed documentation and ensure all closing packages meet internal approval standards and regulatory requirements.
Contribute to special projects and actively support ongoing process improvements across the team.
Required Qualifications:
3–5 years of experience in commercial real estate construction loan closings, with a strong focus on managing construction draws.
Comprehensive knowledge of construction lending practices and diligence requirements, including GC contracts, construction budgets, draw schedules, lien waivers, title date‑downs, and inspection protocols.
Exceptional organizational abilities and clear, professional communication skills to manage complex loan processes.
Proficiency in loan origination systems and document management platforms ensuring accuracy and efficiency in closing packages.
Proficient in reviewing, interpreting and verifying loan documentation to ensure completeness, accuracy, compliance and adherence to approved terms.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple closings and draw requests simultaneously.
Desired Qualifications:
Prior experience in construction draws and commercial loan closing.
Ability to manage and monitor construction budgets.
Knowledge of closing commercial construction loans, including diligence gathering, budget monitoring, and coordination with third‑party vendors, internal stakeholders, Outside Counsel, and Borrowers.
Experience with SharePoint and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote).
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
Demonstrated ability to organize effectively, manage multiple priorities, and maintain focus in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to navigate multiple systems and utilize search tools effectively.
Proven time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
