Machinist

RdF Corporation, a manufacturing company in Hudson, NH, seeks an experienced machinist with manual lathe and CNC experience.

Responsibilities of Machinist:

• Under supervision, sets up and operates conventional machines and machining centers to machine metallic and nonmetallic precision parts.
• Studies blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished workpiece, sequence of operations, and setup requirements.
• Selects, aligns, and secures holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines such as lathes, jig borers, grinders, and shapers.
• Calculates and sets controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, depth, and angle of cut.
• Starts and observes machines operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, and adjusts machine controls or control media as required. Verifies conformance of finished workpiece to specifications.
• Sets up and operates machine on trial run to verify accuracy of machine settings or programmed control data. Supervisor or lead person verifies set up is correct.
• Produces machined parts by programming, setting up, and operating CNC machines.

Requirements of Machinist:

• Experience working with manual lathe machines and CNC machines.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Must be able to pass a drug test and criminal background check.

Position is full-time, 40 hours per week, with benefits after 90 days.
Desirable 9/80 shift with alternating Fridays off.
