Registered Dietitian Part-Time (50% remote)

Part-Time/Hybrid Registered Dietitian Position

RD Nutrition Consultants LLC is seeking a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist to join our network of exceptional clinicians. You will have the ongoing support of our dedicated team, allowing you to focus on delivering high-quality nutrition services in a community setting.

Overview

This exciting opportunity offers a flexible and rewarding work-life balance with a blend of in-person and remote work options. The RD will oversee nutrition programs for both Home Delivered Meals (HDMs) and Congregate Meal Sites serving older adults in Yates and Steuben Counties.

• Schedule: 16–18 hours per week, approximately 50% completed remotely via telehealth.
  
• Flexibility: Choose your days and hours, Monday–Friday during normal business hours.
  
• Onsite Requirement: Up to 1 onsite visit per week.
  
• Compensation: $30.00–$37.00 per hour, based on experience, with additional paid travel time to and from the facility.
  

Key Responsibilities

• Create and oversee quarterly menus that meet NYSOFA nutritional guidelines for HDMs and congregate meal sites (entered into ESHA).
  
• Monitor meal production from the centralized kitchen.
  
• Preform monthly kitchen inspections per NYSOFA and NYS Department of Health guidelines.
  
• Conduct annual monitoring of congregate and HDM programs as assigned.
  
• Deliver monthly nutrition education classes at congregate meal sites, prevention services programs, and the Older Adult Center.
  
• Provide nutritional counseling 1–2 times per month for five or more active clients in the Senior Nutrition Program. Complete onboarding paperwork for new clients and process documentation.
  
• Pull monthly and quarterly reports from Peer Place and submit to the YOFA Director. Maintain all case notes in Peer Place and save documents to Pro Action’s OneDrive.
  
• Distribute monthly nutrition information to HDM and congregate meal participants.
  
• Send out satisfaction surveys and contribution letters.
  
• Perform other tasks as assigned and within scope of practice.
  

Experience & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or a related field from an accredited program.
  
• Registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
  
• Current state licensure/certification (if mandated by the state).
  
• Minimum of 1 year clinical or community nutrition experience (preferred).
  
• Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients, staff, and program leadership.
  
• Strong organizational and documentation skills; proficiency with electronic charting and reporting systems (Peer Place, ESHA, etc.).
  
• Knowledge of NYSOFA nutrition guidelines and state/federal program regulations preferred.
