Custodian (Cannabis Facility)

Job Description: Custodian Reports to: Facility Lead Pay Range: $18.81-$23.00 Custodian Job Description:Position summary: Employees in this job perform and oversee a variety of janitorial, custodial and or security tasks to maintain a clean and safe facility as directed by the Facility Lead. Core Expectations: Monitor building safety by performing such tasks as checking electrical appliances used to ensure that hazards are not created. Service, cleaning, and supplying of restrooms. Gather and empty trash in and around the facility. Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them. Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment, in order to prevent damage to floors and fixtures. Handle chemicals of any nature properly when preparing such as cleaning solutions, floor finishing chemicals, solvents, etc. Assist in stripping, sealing, finishing, and polishing floors. Notify supervisor concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems. Requisition supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties through the head custodian. Clean windows, glass partitions and mirrors in a timely manner or as needed Maintain full building cleanliness. Always maintain safety and compliance. Ensure all exterior doors and docks are secured. Set up, arrange, and remove decorations, tables, chairs, ladders, and scaffolding to prepare the facilities for events such as banquets, meetings, and assemblies. Clean and polish high profile areas such as drinking fountains or other areas such as counters, areas used to prepare or store food, etc. Dusting high traffic, high visibility areas such as offices, desk, tables, etc. Monitors corners for cobwebs, dead insects, etc. Use common sense to move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies if moving manually or by using hand trucks. Assistance with snow removal may be required in some way, shape or form. Use of appropriate equipment and proper back support is required. Handling of snow melting chemicals such as salt is also required. Develop and maintain a positive, professional rapport and appearance. Must have CO MED Badge.Other duties as assigned.
