Research and Operations Specialist - $83.5k-$90.5k

RCT is seeking a Senior Research Operations Specialist with 6 years of experience conducting comprehensive searches across client repositories and archived records, particularly in support of FOIA, Privacy Act, Congressional inquiries, and OGC investigations. Candidates with substantial Intelligence Community (IC) experience are strongly preferred. The specialist will work as part of a search team in Herndon, VA, performing in-depth queries to locate, analyze, and deliver relevant documents for Information Review and Release Analysts.

Key responsibilities include reviewing and organizing records, ensuring complete and non-duplicative search results, documenting search processes, coordinating scanning requests, assisting in training new team members, and recommending workflow or process improvements. The role requires an 8-hour shift Monday–Friday with occasional surge support.

Qualified candidates are self-motivated, detail-oriented team players with strong critical-thinking, communication, and time-management skills. An active TS/SCI with Poly is required. Degrees may substitute for experience, and preferred qualifications include backgrounds in information or records management and experience with Boolean, Lucene, or SQL-based search techniques.
