RCT seeks an experienced Database Administrator to support authentication, authorization, and digital policy management programs. The role centers on designing and maintaining an active-active Oracle database architecture across AWS regions to improve system availability, resiliency, and performance. This is a senior-level DBA position focused on high-availability Oracle implementations in AWS, combining deep database expertise with cloud architecture, security, and DevOps collaboration. The role supports mission-critical systems.

Key Responsibilities

Install, configure, and maintain database software on AWS RDS or EC2.
Design and manage relational database schemas optimized for cloud-based active-active deployments.
Provide DBA consultation and technical support to corporate applications.
Optimize and update dataset designs for performance improvements.
Maintain documentation (SOPs, patch history, confluence pages).
Implement security hardening and resolve vulnerabilities.
Perform routine patching, upgrades, and backups.
Troubleshoot database and infrastructure issues.

Required Qualifications

BS 13 years (or MS 10–13 years) of relevant experience.
TS/SCI with Polygraph
Proven experience with enterprise databases in AWS.
Hands-on with Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and/or Aurora.
Understanding of eventual consistency models and CAP theorem (consistency, availability, partition tolerance).
Ability to identify and mitigate security vulnerabilities.
Strong background in backup, recovery, and database performance tuning.

Desired Qualifications

AWS and Oracle certifications.
Experience with AWS Route 53, PrivateLink, and global traffic management.
Familiarity with AWS VPC Peering, Transit Gateway, and secure replication architectures.
Skilled in database monitoring, alerting, and DevOps CI/CD integration.
