RCS Staffing has an immediate need for multiple Designers in Lakewood, CO. This is a full-time contract-to-permanent hire, office-based assignment with our client. This position offers a competitive hourly rate along with hands-on training and long-term growth opportunities.
Overview of YOUR role as a Designer
Our client is seeking Designers to support utility make-ready design projects. In this role, you will review field data, evaluate compliance with current standards, and develop design solutions for failed structures. You’ll work closely with a team of designers and project managers to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and quality of deliverables.
As a Designer YOU will:
- Review field-collected information to determine if structures pass or fail current design standards.
- Create and modify design solutions to bring failed structures into compliance.
- Apply critical thinking and problem-solving to interpret and implement construction standards.
- Use multiple design software programs to accomplish tasks and meet deadlines
- Manage and prioritize multiple design projects, typically with a 14-day turnaround time.
- Collaborate closely with other designers to share workload and ensure consistency across designs.
- Remain flexible and able to pivot as project needs or priorities change.
- Receive future training in pole-load analysis.
- Maintain strong communication with supervisors and team members.

It’s a BONUS if you have:
- Previous experience in utility or make-ready design.
- Background in engineering design or related technical disciplines.
Training:
- Day one will include shadowing and orientation.
- The Project Manager will provide foundational training and an overview of the design process.
- Designers will work in a collaborative design lab environment, learning side-by-side with peers.
- Training will include hands-on instruction, design manuals, and one-on-one mentoring.
- Ongoing guidance is provided to ensure priorities and deadlines are clearly defined and met.
