Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated A&P Aircraft Mechanic to perform inspection, maintenance, repair, and alteration of aircraft and aircraft systems in accordance with FAA regulations and company procedures. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. This role supports daily flight operations by ensuring aircraft are airworthy, reliable, and properly documented. Duties
- Conduct scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on aircraft, including airframe, avionics, power systems, and mechanical components
- Operate all tools and equipment necessary to accomplish job assignment
- Ensure all work is performed safely following industry standards for heavy lifting and equipment handling
- Read and interpret manufacturers maintenance manuals, service bulletins and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Coordinate effectively with other maintenance personnel
- Strong understanding of aircraft systems including airframe, avionics, electrical systems, and power distribution
- Maintain reliable, regular, and predictable attendance
- Adhere to all RCS Services policies and standards of conduct
- Other duties as assigned by the department supervisor
Required Qualifications
- FAA A&P Certificate in good standing
- Knowledge of FAA regulations related to aircraft maintenance
- Experience with piston and turboprop aircraft
- At least 2 years of aircraft maintenance experience
- Ability to perform root cause analysis for complex technical issues
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, soldering equipment, calipers
- Experience working within military or civilian aviation environments preferred
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze schematics and technical manuals effectively
- Excellent communication skills for documenting work performed and collaborating with team members
- Must possess adequate tools to perform job functions
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working on a variety of aircraft including Cessna 172, 150, and 337, Piper PA28, King Air 200, and 300, Beechcraft Baron, De Havilland DHC-6-300 models
Required Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent work experience
