Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Heavy Equipment Operator/Truck Driver to join our construction team. In this vital role, you will operate a variety of heavy machinery and commercial trucks to support construction projects, ensuring efficient and safe operations across multiple sites. Your expertise will help drive project success, maintain safety standards, and uphold our commitment to quality workmanship.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate construction machinery including excavators, dozers, dump trucks, Skidsteer, and semis in accordance with federal construction safety regulations and company policies.
- Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on machinery such as Caterpillar equipment and other heavy machinery to ensure optimal performance.
- Assist with construction site activities by performing utility locating and supporting grading and excavation tasks.
- Transport materials and equipment between sites using commercial trucks while adhering to all commercial truck driving regulations.
- Follow safety regulations diligently, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), to maintain a safe work environment for all team members.
- Collaborate with team members to execute project plans efficiently while maintaining high safety standards and operational excellence.
Requirements
- Proven experience operating heavy construction machinery such as excavators, dozers, loaders, graders, dump trucks, and semis.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record for truck driving responsibilities.
- Mechanical knowledge for routine maintenance and troubleshooting of construction machinery including Caterpillar equipment.
- Construction site experience.
- Knowledge of federal construction safety regulations and ability to adhere strictly to safety protocols at all times.
- Strong understanding of heavy equipment operation combined with practical construction experience across diverse projects.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting heavy materials and operating machinery in various weather conditions.
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and site supervisors.
