What are the responsibilities and job description for the Professional Pet Care Provider - Mornings - Watertown/Naugatuck Area position at RCO Pet Care?
RCO Pet Care is growing (again!), and this time we're on the hunt for a very specific creature: the morning person.
Our RCO family keeps expanding, and mornings are where we need the most help right now. We're looking for someone to cover our 7:00-10:00 AM window - the sacred hour(s) when dogs need to pee, cats need breakfast, and clients need to know their furry family is ready for the day.
We are looking for someone so reliable their Google Calendar trusts them.
Someone who genuinely loves animals and appreciates that professional pet care is a real job with real responsibility.
Someone who can follow detailed instructions, send the world's cutest pet photo updates, and doesn't flinch when a client's chihuahua wakes up and chooses chaos.
The requirements:
MUST have consistent AM availability starting at 7:00 AM (or earlier) through at least 10:00 AM, most weekdays (Extra availability beyond that window - middays, evenings, weekends - is a huge plus and means more hours for you.)
MUST have reliable transportation and be able to consistently service clients in Oxford, Southbury, Seymour, and nearby towns (This role requires frequent travel between client homes.)
MUST be trustworthy, communicative, and detail-oriented. Our clients depend on accurate updates and consistent routines.
MUST be comfortable working independently while also being part of a supportive, drama-free team
Bonus points if you:
- Love sending photo updates as much as clients love receiving them
- Can handle both a 95-lb loveable goofball and a 6-lb chaos gremlin
- Are the type of person who triple-checks they locked the door (we see you and we appreciate you)
The details:
- Part-time, typically 5–20 hrs/week depending on your availability outside the morning window
- W2 employee (not contractor)
