Foreclosure Paralegal

RCN Capital, LLC is a national, direct, private lender providing real estate investors with financing for the purchase or refinance of non-owner-occupied single-family looking for a Foreclosure Paralegal to join our Legal team. The Foreclosure Paralegal will be responsible for managing the foreclosure caseload for the Legal/Default team, including working with in-house counsel, outside counsel and RCN Capital's investor partners. Using elevated knowledge of the foreclosure process, this role will provide communication to all parties regarding foreclosure procedures, oversee management of REO properties, and provide assistance and support to the Legal/Default team.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Manage nationwide foreclosure caseload including interfacing with foreclosure counsel and investors.
• Decide, and communicate, when it is appropriate to delay a foreclosure file referral when the borrower is close to payoff or reinstatement.
• Prepare payoffs, settlement agreements and work-out plans.
• Oversee management of real estate owned properties (REO) including making informed decisions on contractor bid approvals.
• Assist Legal Department in handling internal and external requests for legal-guidance.
• Review invoices.
• Filing and document management.
• Drafting and sending written and electronic communication.
• Fielding phone calls and handling telephone correspondence.\
• Manage and track collection efforts.
• Organize Legal Department files and maintain database.
• Additional tasks and projects as they arise.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Ability to use MS Office applications including Excel, Word, Outlook, Adobe and other document processing platforms.
• Exemplary communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Legal research skills.
• Ability to function in a fast paced and high pressure environment
• At least 3 years of experience working as a foreclosure Paralegal or Legal Assistant
• Experience with TMO, Willow and/or Noteflow is a plus.
• Experience with title a plus

Education:

• Paralegal Certificate or equivalent required
• Associate's degree or equivalent in Legal Studies, Law, Foreclosure, Real Estate, or related field required
• Bachelor's degree in Legal Studies, Law, Foreclosure, Real Estate, or related field preferred

Schedule:

• Full time
• Monday-Friday, 9AM to 6PM
• Hybrid work model - 2 days/week in office after 90 day onsite period
