What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part-Time Preschool Substitute Teachers position at RCK Preschool?
Overview
We are seeking a passionate Substitute Preschool Teacher to join our educational team for the 26-27 school year and beyond. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children as well as great organization and communication skills. This is part-time role with ad-hoc hours. For the right candidate, 8-12 hours per week can be guaranteed.
Duties:
- Create a stimulating and comforting environment for students.
- Maintain a positive learning environment while following the lead and direction from Head Teacher.
- Confer with other staff to coordinate quiet time activities and outdoor play.
- Work with Head Teachers to assign duties.
- Demonstrate flexibility to assist where needed throughout the school day - sometimes in various preschool classrooms.
- Step into administrative duties as needed, sometimes acting as a school floater or in the school office.
Qualifications
- Experience working with preschool-aged children in an educational setting is preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple classroom dynamics effectively while promoting a respectful environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for engaging with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Strong sense of professionalism and punctuality.
Weekly ad-hoc hours under either of the following schedules:
8:45AM - 12PM
8:45AM - 1:45PM
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
