Responsibilities
Design and Development:
- Design and develop components and assemblies for off-road vehicle accessories, utilizing SolidWorks to create 3D models, detailed drawings, and technical specifications.
- Conduct engineering analysis (e.g., stress analysis, tolerance analysis) to ensure product performance, durability, and safety.
- Participate in prototyping and testing activities to validate designs and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with manufacturing personnel to ensure designs are manufacturable and cost-effective.
- Lead and manage new product development projects from initial concept through to production release, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within scope.
- Develop and maintain detailed project timelines, track key milestones, and ensure all due dates are met.
- Coordinate and collaborate with internal resources (e.g., manufacturing, procurement, marketing, and sales) to align project goals.
- Manage relationships and coordinate activities with external resources, such as vendors and suppliers, to ensure component quality and timely delivery.
- Proactively identify potential roadblocks, risks, and dependencies, and develop effective mitigation strategies to keep projects on track.
- Communicate project status, challenges, and progress to stakeholders and leadership.
- Create and maintain detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and other technical documentation.
- Contribute to the development of installation instructions and other customer-facing materials.
- Work closely with other engineers, designers, and technicians to ensure seamless product development.
- Effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback.
- Analyze technical challenges and develop creative solutions to overcome design obstacles.
- Identify opportunities for product improvement and innovation.
- Stay informed about industry trends, new technologies, and competitive products.
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 0-5 years of engineering experience, preferably in new product design.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks and familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and technical writing abilities.
- Sound organizational skills with the ability to multi-task.
- Familiarity with welding, sheet metal forming processes, and basic manufacturing equipment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel.
Salary : $55,000 - $60,000
