Job Summary Under the direction of the Supervisor of Admitting Services, the Admitting Representative will be responsible for assisting with patients and families in a prompt and courteous manner. Consistently securing accurate demographic information to create a complete medical record. Pay Range Minimum $21.00 Midpoint $21.00 Maximum $22.00 Rate of pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, education, as well as position requirements. Qualifications Required: At least one year working in registration in a hospital setting or equivalent. HS diploma or equivalent. Typing 40 WPM, experience working with computers, faxes, multiline phones, copiers, printers and other office machines. When working in Emergency Dept, Mgmt of Assaultive Behavior certification required within 90 days of first assignment in Emergency Dept. Excellent customer service skills, ability to work with minimal supervision, excellent communication skills, strong team player, medical terminology Basic Life Support , MAB - Mgmt of Assaultive Behavior Work Environments - Functional Demand: Medium - High energy level Lift and carry 40-50 lbs. Push/pull /- 150-200 lbs. (Patients on bed, stretcher) Lateral transfer 150-200 lbs. (ie. Patient) .
