Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Concrete Setter/Finisher to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting, finishing, and maintaining concrete surfaces on various projects, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and adherence to safety standards. Responsibilities
- Prepare concrete forms and set rebar according to blueprints, schematics, and project specifications
- Operate concrete mixers, pumps, power tools, and heavy equipment safely and efficiently
- Finish concrete surfaces using hand tools such as trowels, floats, edgers, and screeds to achieve smooth, level finishes
- Install hardscape elements like patios, walkways, retaining walls, and other decorative concrete features
- Read blueprints and schematics accurately to ensure precise placement of concrete and related materials
- Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment while maintaining proper safety protocols
- Conduct repairs or restoration work on existing concrete surfaces as needed for renovation projects
Experience
- Proven experience in construction site work with a focus on concrete finishing or related trades such as masonry or carpentry
- Strong mechanical knowledge of tools, power equipment, and heavy machinery used in concrete setting and finishing processes
- Familiarity with construction estimating practices and blueprint reading for accurate project execution
- Hands-on experience with rebar installation, form building, and concrete pouring techniques
- Knowledge of safety standards related to heavy equipment operation, scaffolding, roofing, and site hazards
- Ability to perform detailed work with precision in diverse environments including commercial renovation or restoration projects
- Prior experience working on construction sites with exposure to schematics, metal stud framing, stucco application, tile laying or flooring installation is a plus
