What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounting Assistant/Accounts Receivable position at RCCAA?
Job Duties:
Provides accounting and administrative support to the Finance Department by billing Medicaid/Modivcare, processing invoices, maintaining financial records, preparing reports, handling deposits and fare collections, and assisting with accounts receivable, accounts payable, grant budgets, and reimbursement billings. Supports the Director of Finance with monthly financial reporting and other related duties as assigned.
§ Bill Medicaid/Modivcare - monthly
§ Assist with maintaining files -weekly and end of the year storage
§ Bank Deposits and Collection of Fares
§ Prepare “fixed amount” monthly/quarterly invoices
§ Assist with monthly expense reimbursement billings – copying invoices
§ Submitting monthly reports to the Chief Financial Officer
§ Back-up for Accounts Payable position as needed
§ Assist Director of Finance with monthly expenditure reports and invoicing
§ Maintain Accounts Receivable binders up to date
§ Assist Director of Finance with preparation of grant budgets and amendments
§ Perform any other duties as assigned by the Chief Financial Officer
Qualifications
Experience in accounting, preferably within a non-profit organization, and possession of a valid West Virginia driver's license. Employment contingent upon successful completion of background check and drug screening.
- Experience in Accounting and non-profit organizations preferred.
- Valid West Virginia driver’s license.
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
