What we’re looking for: Someone to serve as a business partner to designated business units and be responsible for compliance reviews, consulting, surveillance and policy or form change reviews. Someone to assist the Chief Compliance Officer and Deputy Chief Compliance Officer by identifying and correcting areas of concern regarding day-to-day functions, including workload prioritization. Someone to ensure the timely identification, mitigation, resolution, and reporting of existing, emerging, and upstream regulatory risks and other identified issues. Someone to assist the Chief Compliance Officer and Deputy Chief Compliance Officer in overseeing a strong and sustainable enterprise-wide governance structure, including consistent communication with all levels of the organization.

  • You possess knowledge of regulatory examination procedures to evaluate compliance with consumer-related laws and regulations.

What you’ll do:

  • Analyze current and emerging regulatory trends and propose and implement recommendations and solutions to mitigate identified risk.
  • Direct, develop, and oversee the strategic aspects of the compliance program, including overseeing policies and procedures, testing programs, employee training programs, regulatory surveillance efforts, risk assessment processes, and complaint management.
  • Serve as the key contact with bank regulators for compliance examinations. Oversee regulatory affairs to ensure compliance throughout the organization is aligned with state and federal guidelines and regulations.
  • Serve as the chairperson of the Compliance Risk Committee to ensure top leadership and business unit partners are informed of compliance posture, trends, and emerging risks.
  • Consult with lines of business to develop and implement policies, programs, procedures, and training programs that ensure bank functions comply with applicable laws, regulations, and industry best practices.

What you must have:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or business OR an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of nine (9) years of experience working compliance functions of financial institutions and/or working with regulatory agencies
  • Leadership/supervisory experience
  • Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM) certification or the ability to obtain certification within six (6) months of start date
