Job description
RC Health Services is seeking an Accounting Assistant who will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer. This individual will perform daily accounting tasks that will support our financial team. The Accounting Assistant must present administrative expertise, a willingness to be of assistance to other executives, and an alignment with the purpose and goals of the company.
Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative assistance, such as organizing notes and emails, filing, scanning and spreadsheet creation and management.
- Performing various accounting and bookkeeping duties including creating invoices, collections, preparing journal entries, and reconciliations.
- Write and edit emails, draft memos, and prepare communications on the executive’s behalf.
- Answer phone calls in a polite and professional manner.
- Manage the executive’s calendar, including making appointments and prioritizing the most sensitive matters.
- Manage tasks and conducting research related to real estate and vendor acquisition.
- Inform management and compile reports/summaries on activity areas.
- Support payroll function and employee timecard maintenance.
- Run errands as needed.
- Other tasks as requested by the executive team.
Applicant must:
- Have exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Possess a positive attitude, take initiative, and be proactive.
- Have strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask.
- Have great time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines and manage task lists effectively.
- Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information
- Hands-on experience with MS Excel and accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks)
- Knowledge of basic bookkeeping procedures and accounting reports.
- Be able to problem-solve and make the best decisions for the company.
- Be willing to provide support for other executives.
The schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM.
