As Paving Superintendent, you'll serve as the primary liaison between field crews, subcontractors, and project leadership. You'll be responsible for building a culture of safety, quality, and accountability — ensuring every project is completed to spec, on schedule, and in a professional manner.

What You'll Do
- Act as the direct liaison between field crews and subcontractors, keeping communication clear and productive
- Drive production quality consistent with contract documents, in a safe and cost-effective manner
- Foster a positive, professional work environment — promoting teamwork, effective communication, and constructive conflict resolution
- Administer client-specific programs including CQC, Safety, and Environmental Stewardship requirements
- Lead and attend pre-construction, progress, and project meetings; maintain regular communication with client representatives
- Maintain timely daily documentation — timecards, field reports, schedule updates, and correspondence
- Manage, train, and mentor supporting staff; coordinate workloads and encourage ongoing professional development
- Collaborate effectively with internal teams, including Accounting and HR, to keep projects running smoothly
What You Bring
- 5 years field experience
Surveying, GPS, Total Station, machine control, and construction staking
- 5 years crew leadership
Progressive supervisory responsibility with strong subcontractor management
- Safety credentials
OSHA 30, CPR/First Aid, BCSP Safety Trained Supervisor (STS) certification
- Tech proficiency
MS Office suite required; AutoCAD a plus. Comfortable with digital forms and reporting
- Scheduling expertise
Understand work sequencing, project controls, and change order management
- Army Corps experience
Prior Army Corps of Engineers project experience preferred
Also required: valid insurance-approved driving record, ability to obtain and maintain military base access, and verifiable professional references.
Working Conditions
This is an active, outdoor role that requires frequent travel. You'll regularly work in varying weather conditions and environments that may include loud noise, airborne particles, heavy equipment, and elevated areas. PPE is required and will be provided as appropriate.
Physical requirements include frequent standing, walking, and lifting up to 60 lbs. Vision of 20/40 or better (corrected acceptable) and the ability to hear clearly are required for safe performance of duties.
