Kitchen Staff (Multi-Location Operations)

Job Summary
Kitchen Staff are responsible for supporting daily food preparation and cooking operations across multiple locations while maintaining consistent quality, cleanliness, and food safety standards. This role requires teamwork, adaptability, and the ability to follow standardized recipes and procedures to ensure every guest receives the same high-quality experience at every location.
Key ResponsibilitiesFood Preparation & Cooking
- Prepare ingredients (chopping, marinating, portioning, and prepping) according to standardized recipes
- Cook menu items accurately, efficiently, and consistently across all locations
- Assemble dishes with attention to presentation, flavor, and portion control
- Follow all recipe specifications, plating guidelines, and ticket instructions
- Assist with daily prep lists and station setup/breakdown
Kitchen Operations
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen at all times
- Wash dishes, utensils, equipment, and kitchen tools as needed
- Properly store food according to FIFO (First In, First Out) and food safety guidelines
- Monitor food quality, freshness, and temperature during service
- Assist with opening and closing procedures at assigned locations
Food Safety & Compliance
- Follow all local health department regulations and company food safety standards
- Maintain proper handwashing, glove use, and hygiene practices
- Report any food safety concerns, equipment issues, or hazards immediately
- Assist with health inspections and internal audits when required
Inventory & Stock Support
- Assist with receiving, labeling, and storing deliveries
- Monitor prep levels and notify management of low stock or shortages
- Help reduce waste by following portion control and storage procedures
Teamwork & Communication
- Communicate clearly and respectfully with kitchen and front-of-house staff
- Support teammates during high-volume service periods
- Follow direction from kitchen leadership and management
- Assist with training new kitchen staff when requested
Qualifications
- Previous kitchen or food service experience preferred (but not required)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Strong attention to detail and consistency
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40–50 lbs
- Reliable transportation for travel between locations
- Food Handler Certification (or willingness to obtain)
