Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Foreman, based in West Palm Beach, FL. The Foreman will oversee daily field operations, supervise crews, and ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and on time. Responsibilities include coordinating tasks, monitoring equipment and work quality, managing schedules, and communicating effectively with team members and stakeholders to guarantee job site productivity.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Project Leadership
Ø Following established installation guidelines oversees the installation of the fire sprinkler systems.
Ø Leads, coordinates, and supervises installers, fitters and helpers
Ø Assigns daily tasks and ensures crews have the necessary and correct material and tools for the job
Ø Motivates and guides team members to meet deadlines and quality standards
Planning and Coordination
Ø Reviews project plans, blueprints, and specification prior to starting the job
Ø Coordinates work with other trades such as: plumbing, electrical, HVAC, etc. to avoid conflicts
Ø Ensures material orders are place on time and staged at the site
Installation Oversight
Ø Oversees layout, installation, and connections of piping, sprinkler heads, and system components
Ø Verifies that installation matches shop drawings and NFPA/local requirements
Ø Ensures proper pipe supports, hangers, and system alignment
Ø Completes underground installation from water main TAP, B/F, FOC, PIV, Spigot, Flash
Ø Performs hydrostatic test to verify system integrity
Ø Tests alarms, water flow switches and supervisory devices
Ø Performs inspection with local AHJ
Quality Control & Compliance
Ø Thoroughly inspects work for accuracy while in progress and as completed
Ø Enforces compliance with NFPA standards, local codes and project specifications
Ø Prepares the system for testing and inspection by AHJ (Authority Having Jurisdiction)
Safety Management
Ø Complies with all safety rules and regulations, wears personal protective equipment (PPE) per job requirements
Ø Conducts daily safety meetings and job site hazard assessments
Ø Ensures all crew members are wearing the required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
Ø Enforces OSHA safety requirements and company policies
Ø Wears the company shirt, jeans/long pants, closed toe - slip resistant shoes, and clean clothing at all times.
Communication
Ø Serves as the main point of contact between the crew, project managers, inspectors and clients
Ø Reports to management project status, challenges, and needs
Meetings
Ø Attends team meetings as requested
QUALIFICATIONS:
Ø Requires in-depth knowledge of fire sprinkler systems, NFPA codes, and local regulations
Ø Strong leadership and team management abilities
Ø Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints
Ø Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Ø Effective communication skills with both crew and management
Ø Attention to details, accuracy in filling out reports, and forms
Ø Reading comprehension, and following instructions
Ø Fast learner, capable of working independently
Ø Aptitude to learn and apply basics of our product industry – terminology, materials, procedures, etc.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Ø Regularly talk, hear, stand, walk, push, pull, lift overhead/shoulders, climb ladders, use hands to fingers, handle or feel.
Ø This position requires the ability to lift materials. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
WEEKLY WORK SCHEDULE
Ø This is a full-time (40 hours) of work
Ø Work days are: Monday through Friday (Saturday as required)
Ø Hours: 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
Ø Lunch time: 30 minutes per day
