Job Summary/Objective:
The Business Development – Inside Sales is responsible for achieving revenue and profits goals through existing customers and new customer acquisition. The BD-IS performs phone, text, and email (virtual) activities with customers from our corporate headquarters in Ashland, VA. This job exists as a complete communication with our customers; including, but not limited to, increasing revenues and profits through customer engagement, prospecting, customer acquisition, and the leading customer experience via outbound campaigns and inbound support. Communication methods include (but not limited to);inbound and outbound phone calls, email, SMS texting, and website chat via a cloud contact center software. Business Development – Inside Sales duties also include participating in meetings with the Business Development team to discover new communication tactics and maintaining expert knowledge about company products or services to best help our customers.
Results need to be achieved by demonstrating competencies with high levels of teamwork across the organization, communicating clearly and effectively, achieving planned goals, taking ownership, and obsessing on continuous improvement and creating a culture of customer advocacy. Essential Job Functions/Duties:
· Increasing revenues and profits through customer engagement, prospecting, customer acquisition, and the leading customer experience via outbound campaigns and inbound support
· Support inbound customer engagements
· Providing inductor information to new customers
· Ensuring that customers are satisfied with products or services
· Following up with clients/customers to check they are still satisfied with their purchases
· Communicating to clients/customers about additional products or services
· Determining the quickest, most effective ways to answer a client’s/customer’s questions
· Escalating queries and concerns
· Troubleshooting common issues with a product or service
· Working with a team of Business Development and other departments to find appropriate solutions
· Special project assistance may be required when needed in achieving a company goal for the department or overall operation of the company

Work Environment:
Your work environment will be mostly communicating through a cloud phoning system including email and contact center chat. Occasionally there will be opportunities to participate in external trainings, visiting customers, or attending conventions/expos.

Travel or driving:
Potential travel to customer locations both in and out of the state of VA may be required.
Required Education and Experience:
· High school degree
· 1-3 years in a customer-facing role, customer service, and/or related fields
· Proficiency in Microsoft Suite – specifically in Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook
· Preferred experience in Lawn & Garden and Arborist industry, and/or a passion for the outdoors
