Role Description

The Manufacturing Planner will be responsible for reviewing customer purchase orders (POs), determining requirements, specifications, and coordinating the planning and release of production work orders to ensure timely and accurate execution across departments. This is a full-time, on-site role located at our Long Beach offices.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma / GED minimum.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an Aerospace / Manufacturing or related industry.
• Able to work in a fast-paced work setting.
• Experience with Real Trac Software preferred.
• Spanish speaking is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Customer Order Review: Reviews customer Purchase Orders (POs) for completeness and accuracy. Determines and classifies ITAR-controlled orders. Verifies Drawing Numbers, Parts Lists, Specifications (SPECOs), Engineering Change Orders (EOs), Delivery Dates, and Quality Clause requirements.
• Production Planning & Scheduling: Develops and prioritizes production schedules. Create and releases Shop Travelers to the Quality Department in a timely manner. Plans the complete sequence of fabrication, assembly, installation, and other manufacturing operations for production personnel to follow.
• Material & Process Requirements: Identifies raw material, component, and process requirements from engineering drawings and specifications. Ensure all documentation and materials conform to company standards and customer specifications.
• Tooling & Process Control: Determines the need for tooling, PCM, and MLO. Makes recommendations and/or submits requests when customer tooling is specified in engineering documentation.
• Cross Department Coordination: Communicates with department Supervisors and cross-functional teams to monitor progress and resolve issues. Coordinates with Planners to create or update work orders, manage work orders splits, scheduled shipments, and oversees Consumable-Based Orders (CBOs).
• Planning Change Management: Initiates and implements changes to Shop Travelers resulting from Customer PO modifications, change orders, or addendums.
