Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and motivated Sales Associate to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service, assist customers with product selections, and contribute to a positive shopping experience. This role involves engaging with customers, managing sales transactions, and supporting store merchandising efforts. Bilingual skills are a plus to better serve diverse clientele. Previous sales experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided to ensure success in the role.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with product inquiries and selections
- Operate POS systems efficiently for sales transactions, including cash handling and cashiering duties
- Conduct product demos to educate customers about features and benefits
- Upsell products and promote special offers to increase sales
- Maintain proper merchandising standards, including stocking shelves and organizing displays
- Ensure the sales floor is clean, organized, and well-stocked at all times
- Manage inventory levels and assist with stock replenishment as needed
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions and resolving issues promptly
- Support store operations through effective communication skills and teamwork
Skills
- Proficiency with POS systems and cashiering procedures
- Experience supervising or leading team members is a plus
- Ability to perform retail math for transactions, inventory management, and upselling strategies
- Strong communication skills, including phone etiquette and customer interaction
- Bilingual abilities to serve a diverse customer base effectively
- Knowledge of merchandising, stocking, and retail sales techniques
- Basic math skills for cash handling and sales calculations
- Experience in grocery store or retail environments preferred but not required
- Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service in fast-paced settings
