Job Summary
We are looking for an organized and detail-oriented Payroll Coordinator to join our finance and human resources team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing payroll processes, ensuring accurate and timely compensation for employees across various departments. Duties
- Process payroll using systems such as ADP, Workday, Paychex, or UltiPro, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and legal regulations.
- Reconcile payroll data by reviewing timesheets, attendance records, and benefit information to guarantee correct payments.
- Prepare journal entries related to payroll transactions, including taxes, benefits, and deductions, for general ledger accuracy.
- Assist with benefits administration tasks such as enrollment, changes, and compliance reporting.
- Support accounts payable and receivable processes related to payroll expenses and reimbursements.
- Conduct regular audits of payroll data to identify discrepancies or errors, making necessary adjustments promptly.
- Collaborate with human resources to ensure proper classification of employees and compliance with governmental regulations.
- Generate reports on payroll costs, tax filings, and other financial analyses to support management decision-making.
Experience
- 2-3 years proven experience in payroll management or accounting roles involving payroll processing is essential.
- Familiarity with payroll software with ADP is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of accounting principles including double entry bookkeeping, general ledger reconciliation, debits & credits, and journal entries.
- Strong understanding of tax regulations related to payroll taxes and benefits administration.
- Experience working with HRIS systems is a plus.
- Ability to perform data entry accurately at a high volume using 10 key typing skills.
- Excellent analysis skills for reviewing financial data and identifying discrepancies or trends related to payroll operations.
