Job Summary: The Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing all maintenance activities within a manufacturing facility, ensuring the proper functioning of machinery and equipment by developing and implementing preventative maintenance programs, managing a team of maintenance personnel, and coordinating repairs to minimize downtime while adhering to safety regulations and budget constraints; key duties include planning maintenance schedules, troubleshooting equipment issues, managing spare parts inventory, and collaborating with other departments to optimize production efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintenance Strategy Development
- Design and implement proactive maintenance strategies including preventative maintenance schedules, predictive maintenance techniques, and routine inspections to identify potential issues before they become major breakdowns.
- Measured by equipment reliability, reduced downtime, and maintenance program effectiveness.
Team Leadership
- Supervise and manage a team of hourly and salary maintenance personnel, assigning tasks, providing training, and evaluating performance to ensure efficient operations.
- Measured by team performance, productivity, and successful execution of maintenance activities.
Compliance
- Enforcing safety protocols, identifying hazards, and ensuring adherence to industry regulations.
- Measured by safety performance, regulatory compliance, and risk reduction.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
- Five years of experience in maintenance management in relevant industry.
- Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) or other relevant certifications may be preferred.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to maintaining high standards in safety, quality, and efficiency.
- Close attention to detail/accuracy.
- Proven ability to set and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks design.
- Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).

Physical Requirements:
