Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Equipment Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in operating various types of heavy machinery on construction sites. This role requires mechanical knowledge and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while adhering to safety regulations.
Duties
- Operate heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, cranes, and dump trucks in a safe and efficient manner.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety standards are met.
- Transport materials using front loader trucks, water trucks, roll-off trucks, and tankers as required on construction sites.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects in a timely manner while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to minimize risks and ensure a safe working environment.
- Assist with the setup and teardown of job sites as needed, ensuring all equipment is properly stored and secured after use.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment usage and report any malfunctions or repairs needed to supervisors.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in heavy equipment operation, particularly with Caterpillar machinery and concrete mixers.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot minor issues with equipment.
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) preferred; experience driving farm machinery is a plus.
- Familiarity with various types of construction equipment including but not limited to dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, cranes, dump trucks, water trucks, roll-off trucks, and tankers.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks as required by the job.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices on construction sites.
