What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Planner position at RBC Aircraft Products, Inc.?
Principal Responsibilities
- Ensures proper production control planning and scheduling to meet forecasts and production schedule.
- Responsible for overseeing product in process, ensuring an accurate priority through the factory from start to finished goods and/or shipping.
- Responsible for maintaining accurate WIP value through our processes by identifying, resolving, and preventing inaccuracies.
- Communicate with product management on important customer needs:
- Develop in depth time lines and execute plans of recovery.
- Understanding critical customer needs and reacting quickly.
- Support customer service by providing delivery dates and expected recovery dates on customer orders.
- Responsible for signaling the release of product to manufacturing.
- Communicate to management regarding work centers and areas of concern both internally and externally.
- Ensures the latest drawing revisions are used in the manufacturing process.
- Reconciling planned work orders in MRP system.
- Perform system transactions as needed.
Qualifications
1 year of experience in purchasing and/or inventory control in a manufacturing environment or any combination of experience, education and training which would provide the level of knowledge, skill and ability required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Computer skills – Excel, Access a plus, General computer knowledge
- Organization and follow up
- General understanding of MRP and manufacturing processes
- Communicate effectively, orally and in writing
- Flexibility to alter tasks
- Ability to self-prioritize in a consistently changing production environment
- Bilingual ability a plus, not required
