Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Automotive Service Advisor to join our fast-paced team. In this vital role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for customers seeking vehicle maintenance and repair services. Very busy shop with great earning potential.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and listen attentively to understand their vehicle concerns and service needs
- Explain service recommendations clearly, including auto diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance procedures
- Prepare detailed auto estimating and service writing to ensure accurate job orders and invoicing
- Upsell additional services such as needed maintenance, and discovered repairs.
- Coordinate with technicians and mechanics to prioritize repairs and ensure timely completion of services
- Handle cash transactions accurately while maintaining excellent customer service throughout the process
- Promote automotive repair services by educating customers on vehicle maintenance best practices
Experience
- Proven experience as an Automotive Service Advisor or in auto service management
- Strong background in automotive diagnostics, mechanical knowledge, and vehicle maintenance procedures. Technician experience preferred.
- Experience with auto estimating software and service writing processes.
- Familiarity with a wide range of automotive repairs.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to upsell services confidently
- Hands-on mechanic experience or familiarity with service technician roles enhances effectiveness in advising customers
