You will work closely with physicians and nurses to assess and treat patients using various techniques and equipment to help improve their respiratory functions and overall well-being.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Evaluate patients' respiratory conditions and develop treatment plans.
2. Administer medications and oxygen therapy as prescribed by physicians.
3. Monitor and provide mechanical ventilation support to patients in critical care settings.
4. Perform diagnostic tests such as pulmonary function tests and arterial blood gas analysis.
5. Educate patients on proper breathing techniques and self-care measures.
6. Collaborate with healthcare team members to coordinate patient care.
7. Maintain accurate medical records and update treatment plans as needed.
8. Respond quickly to emergency situations requiring respiratory intervention.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field.
2. Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential.
3. State licensure as a Respiratory Therapist.
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
6. Knowledge of respiratory care equipment and procedures.
