Job Title: Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) - Long Term Care (LTC)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our team in providing specialized care for patients in a Long Term Care (LTC) setting. The ideal candidate will work closely with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to create individualized treatment plans to improve mobility, relieve pain, and maximize quality of life for those in need of long term care.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Assist Physical Therapist in evaluating and treating patients with various physical conditions in a Long Term Care facility
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement comprehensive care plans
• Administer therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and modalities under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist
• Provide education to patients and families on treatment goals, home exercise programs, and safety precautions
• Document patient progress, treatment outcomes, and changes in condition according to facility policies and procedures

Qualifications and Skills:

• Associate's degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program
• Current state licensure or certification as a Physical Therapy Assistant
• Previous experience working in a Long Term Care or geriatric setting preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Passion for providing quality care to elderly patients with complex medical needs
